While I’m not a huge Pokemon fan, I have to admit I did crusade around Kanto to collect all 150 Pokemon back in the RBGY generation. And yeah, I did pick it back up in college, when the DP generation came out. Trading Pokemon over Wi-Fi during Solid-State Devices… ah, a good day’s work.
I am however a huge fan of the online comic, VGCats — as all my friends will attest to, having being texted, IMed, or facebooked every week when a new strip is released. So, the author has recently created a Pokemon-only subcomic called Super Effective. Pure hilarity. :] It follows the story of the first game, so if you’re an old foagie like me, you’ll really appreciate the jokes. Or even if you haven’t played RBGY (who hasn’t!?), the jokes are still super effective. (har-har ._.)
And it seems like Pokemon jokes have been multiplying in this dude’s head for a while now, as many comics on his normal strip are also Pokemon-related.
I love that the VGCat guy is starting a Pokemon comic strip! I really got a kick out of the DOUCHE one, and Squirtle’s tail wag is tooooo cute.
If only he was as good at updating every week as he was at making us laugh…
