Monthly goals – Feb/March

March 4th, 2011 by Cat

Categories: DS, Wii

Goals accomplished in February:

  • finished God of War 1 (PS3) – I made the goal for Feb but actually finished it in Jan.
  • finished Heavy Rain (PS3)
  • finished Shank (XBLA) – short game, finished 1P mode in one sitting
  • finished Limbo (XBLA) – also not that long, but it’s a good one

Goals missed:

1. Finish Ace Attorney Investigations (DS). I think I’m near the end at least. Unfortunately, because of the slow pace, I have a hard time playing any more than 20 minutes or so at a time. The beginning was worse because it literally made me fall asleep multiple times. There’s only so many times you can pull the “solved the case! …JUST KIDDING” trick before I lose all interest. The 2nd half of the game is showing more promise.

2. Finish Metroid Prime 1 (Wii). The game is longer than I expected, so I’m not done yet. I’m liking it so far though and am glad they ported it to Wii. I usually like games that backtrack a lot, but I wish there were easier ways to travel in MP1. I see that there are shortcuts in places, but it’s not the same as being able to teleport from area to area. As for where I am in the game, I just got the Gravity suit.

And now March… I guess I’ll finish those 2 games and possibly start DragonAge 1 (PC). Oh, and also Okamiden (DS)!

    Wow Nice!
Finished Limbo huh… ive been wanting to play that game since I bought it a couple of months ago, but I have been busy playing Raskulls, and its a great game (and a really frustrating one!).
Metroid Prime is one of the best games on the GameCube. You should plat it with the original controller and console. Its a great take on such a fragile franchise.
I agree with the Ace series! It has such a slow pace, finishing the games could take more than anticipated!
Well congratulations, you have finished a lot of games.
My goal for now is to finish Raskulls with 101%! And oh boy is it hard.

I had Limbo for a while before finally getting to it too. It’s a good game though!

      Well, I’m glad it was ported to Wii because I think the Wiimote is a better control for shooters. I’m a PC shooter, so I usually don’t like using the joystick for aiming XD;;

Yeah, the first couple cases of Investigations . . . especially that freaking Badger case, was slow. The last two cases are awesome, though~ At least the cases all tie into each other somehow!

The 2nd half of the game is better, but unfortunately, it’s still on the slow side for me XD;; I do like how the game ties everything together though!
